With more than 23 years of experience as a professional tattoo artist, GOEKE has built a reputation for quality, versatility, and a deep understanding of the craft. His work spans a wide range of styles, including Japanese, traditional, fine line, black and grey, and color tattooing.
GOEKE’s journey into tattooing began in the summer of 2000 in his hometown of Richmond, Indiana. After meeting several local tattoo artists who recognized his interest in art, he began developing his drawing and painting skills with an emphasis on tattoo-oriented artwork. Years of practice and dedication eventually led to an apprenticeship with Brian Brenner in Dayton, Ohio.
GOEKE completed his apprenticeship on October 28, 2003, and began his professional career at New Breed Tattoo in Richmond, Indiana. In 2006, he made the move to Arizona and began working at Divinity Tattoo in Scottsdale. In 2009, he joined Love and Hate Tattoo in downtown Phoenix. Since July 2021, GOEKE has called North Mountain Tattoo in North Phoenix home.
Over the course of his career, GOEKE has had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from many talented artists, continually expanding his knowledge and approach to tattooing. He has also participated in countless tattoo conventions throughout the country, earning recognition for his work along the way.
